Come as you are.
Leave knowing you are loved.
Animals have a magical way of reminding us just how loved we are.
They love and support us no matter who we are, how we feel about ourselves or what the world has to say about us.
Our rescue animals are here to support all people - you will meet animals with similar stories to your own and they can guide us to deeper awareness and healing.
On June 23rd we will be celebrating the LGBTQ+ community by connecting members of the community and allies to the power of unconditional love.
Help support our rescue animals, celebrate PRIDE, and raise awareness for issues that impact the community.

Animals and humans share a profound, innate connection that brings healing to both parties! The unwavering love and acceptance that animals offer us is truly unconditional..., you matter more than what has happened to you, what labels you have been given or how you see yourself. Here, LGBTQ+ individuals are embraced and cherished for their authentic selves- our goal is to connect the community and create a space that values and celebrates diversity.
"I knew Bray had a special connection to animals since they were a very young age! When they were 1.5 years old, our family was in the backyard on a warm summer day when I heard Bray cooing to something in their play tent. We found Bray petting a feral male cat from the woods! No surprise to us this feral cat became a part of our family and Bray made that happen. He was always around Bray from that day forward even sitting on the side of the tub and getting water splashed on him.
At the age of five Bray started to ride ponies and loved going to the farm. Whenever Bray was constantly surrounded by animals is when they were their happiest self. Bray would later start begging for pet rabbits and a ferret. I have many fond memories of Bray's dedication to the animals and making sure to do all the research for their needs and care. We would go on to take in Kenny the ferret who became a beloved family member and a popular little guy from all his walks around the neighborhood!
Around the age of nine, Bray started working with an older gelding that got a few injuries. This experience was exciting and fun for Bray but also taught them patience and compassion. Next stop for Bray would be adopting a rescue horse which was an absolute dream of theirs. We knew this would bring challenges but Bray knew this is what they needed in their life.
Bray went on to rescue Autumn, a mare who needed lots of love, time, patience and care. Watching Autumn and Bray grow together and become closer has been a true blessing. Bray's ability to work with animals of all kinds is innate and natural. Bray struggled first with anxiety in high school that would later lead to depression. They have found themselves on a beautiful journey of self-discovery and rebirth and in many ways - their challenges and triumphs have mimicked Autumns. The healing that happens between animals and humans is remarkable for both parties. The way they love us unconditionally, without judgment or expectation allows us to just be - to just exist.
Since coming to Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, Bray has grown in their abilities and confidence! The family here is amazing, and it resonates through all the rescues. Bray is looking forward to summer camp and inspiring the kids to read animal body language and groundwork with a soft touch." - Lauren Viera (Proud Mother)
